Our Team

O.D. Ellis

General Manager
OD hails from South Africa where he established and managed Marina Landscaping.

Over his 25-year career, OD has overseen and managed numerous successful Commercial and Residential projects.

Some of the noteworthy projects OD managed in South Africa, included works for the Cape Town and Johannesburg Governments for the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

OD’s experience moved abroad, where he Project Managed the luxury Eden Island Development in Seychelles, which comprised the full Landscape Development of a 63 Hectare man-made island.

OD’s experience extended to the Middle East Region when he Managed Projects for Palmera Landscape Construction in Qatar. Two of the big projects OD successfully oversaw during his tenure was the Banana Island Development and the Landscaping for the Sheraton Hotel in Qatar.

In 2014, OD joined Escape Luxury Outdoor Living as the General Manager. His experience, knowledge and “can-do” attitude have allowed him to take Escape to new heights within the region and to experience an unprecedented growth within the local Landscaping Industry.

Asghar Khan

Office Manager
Asghar’s career in the Middle East started in 2003 when he was employed by Al Habtoor-Murray Roberts as the Secretary and Documents Controller to the Engineering Department.

In this role, he worked on numerous large-scale projects and gained invaluable experience with the inner workings of project management and the effective documentation control for medium to large projects.

Asghar then joined Hamilton Design International in 2006 in the capacity of Operations Coordinator and Document Control Supervisor.

In 2008 Asghar joined a large Dubai-based Landscaping Company as Project Administrator to the Divisional Manager where he gained much knowledge and experience in the Landscaping field.

Asghar then joined Escape in 2015 as the Office Manager. In this capacity, Asghar is responsible for Office Operations, Procurement, Supplier Management and Client Correspondence.

His enthusiasm, hard work and loyalty are admirable whilst he maintains professionalism and commitment to each Client and each Project at all times.

Asghar has obtained a Masters Bachelor of Arts Degree and is currently completing his Master of Business Administration in Management.

Asrar Ahmed

Operations Manager
Asrar has been in the UAE Landscaping Construction Industry for the past 17 years. As a former Supervisor at a large Dubai-based Landscaping Company, Asrar had the privilege of working on numerous projects which now form part of the well-known Dubai Skyline.

Whilst Asrar has completed numerous high-end Residential Projects, some of the most noteworthy Commercial Projects he has worked on, include the One and Only – Royal Mirage, One and Only – The Palm, Madinat Jumeirah, Zabeel Saray and The Ritz Carlton.

Asrar’s ability to manage others and to find a solution for every situation, make him the ideal Operations Manager. His extensive knowledge, experience and networking capability ensure that he manages projects effectively and efficiently.

Talib Hussain

Irrigation Engineer
With over 14 years’ experience in the Landscaping Industry, Talib has worked on numerous iconic Residential and Commercial projects throughout the UAE.

With his extensive Knowledge of Irrigation, he will ensure that your Landscaping stays in tip top condition all year round.

Working hand-in-hand with our Landscape Maintenance Team, Talib will inspect and maintain any Irrigation System (new or existing), ensuring that it functions to it’s full potential and at the most cost effective and water-wise efficiencies.

A vital member to the Escape Team, Talib assists with delivering the Quality Services with which we pride ourselves.

Daniel Engelbrecht

CAD Designer / Marketing Executive / Certified Renson Installer
Daniel joined Escape Luxury Outdoor Living in 2015 and in his time has proven to be an invaluable member of the Team.

Whilst at Escape, Daniel has designed and helped manage various high-end residential projects on The Palm, Al Barari and Arabian Ranches as well as successfully designing and managing commercial projects such as the Safa School project, DESC School project and the R-Holdings development on The Palm.

Daniel attended training in Belgium and has been Certified as an Official Installer of Renson Shade Structures. His knowledge on the Renson Product Design and Installation, ensure that all Renson Structures Installed by Escape offer its user the full potential and functionality of having this Quality Product form part of your Landscaping Design.

Daniel’s passion for design and his creativity, have enabled him to assist with the Marketing at Escape. His fresh and innovative approach have allowed for many successful initiatives and his photography, social media and videography skills ensure that Escape stays current and ahead of the pack in this field!
